An Explanatory Model for Students' Perception of Counseling Center Effectiveness, Their Effort and their Functional Orientation toward Achievement in Chamran University

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to study the relationship between students' perception of counseling center effectiveness, their effort and their functional orientation toward achievement with an explanatory model. The sample of the study consisted of 256 bachelor students. The research instruments used to collect data in this study were goal orientation questionnaire, effort questionnaire, and a researcher made questionnaire. The result of the study revealed that: there is a significant relationship between students' perception of counseling center effectiveness, and their functional orientation toward achievement, there is a significant relationship between students' perception of counseling center effectiveness and their effort, by mediating role of students' effort, there is a significant relationship between students' perception of counseling center effectiveness, and their functional orientation toward achievement.
