Abstract

Abstract
This study has been done with the aim of a comparative study of the organizational culture models of “Denison” and “Queen & Kameron” and to identify different available organizational cultures, suitable for the education. The method of this study was a combination of comparative study and descriptive survey method. The statistical population included in this research was a group of 415 official teachers in this city who have worked as teachers, principals in high schools and some experts of Firouzabad’s educational department in 95-96. Through stratified random sampling method, 201 teachers were selected. For the comparative study of “Denison” and “Queen & Kameron” typology, someQueen & Kameron’s (2006) organizational culture questionnaires have been used. The findings have shown that the dominant culture of the current condition is hierarchical and the desirable culture based on the teachers’ ideas is clan oriented. Also, there was a meaningful difference between the men and the women’s ideas about the current clan oriented culture and the current appropriate market oriented culture. But there wasn’t meaningful difference in hierarchical oriented culture and adhocracy oriented culture.
