Abstract

The purpose of this research was to construct and validate responsibility multidimensional questionnaire based on Islamic texts. This research was a descriptive survey by giving questionnaires to 534 undergraduate and postgraduate students of Islamic Azad University, Marvdasht Branch that were selected by cluster sampling. The construction of the questionnaire used the Quran and its Persian interpretation. The final questionnaire was prepared after a three-stage evaluation. To verify the validity of the methods of formal validity, content validity and construct validity (convergent validity with the California Responsibility Scale Questionnaire, factor analysis and correlation between dimensions and whole questionnaire) were used. After obtaining content validity and investigating two indicators Bartlett and KMO, questionnaire factor analysis with principal component and rotated Varimax defined four dimensions of responsibility against God , Himself (meditation), Society and Nature. Convergent validity showed that correlation between total scores of questionnaire and responsibility scale of California was significant at a high level. Reliability results with split–half and Cronbakh's alpha coefficient methods were (0.86 and  0.63 , respectively) that indicated the reliability of the questionnaire. Results demonstrated the efficiency and adequacy of the questionnaire.
