Efficacy of Training Coping Skills With Negative Mood on Anxiety and Stress among Students

Abstract

The present research was studied the effectiveness of training coping skills with negative mood on anxiety and stress of high school students in kashan city. The research method was experimental and the research design was pre-test and post-test with a control group. The population of the study included  all second grade high school boy students in the academic year in 2014-2013  and the sample included 30 students selected randomly  and were assigned randomly in two groups (experimental and control). The data collected by Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scales (DASS). The obtained data were analyzed using analysis of covariance by SPSS software. The results showed a significant difference between the two groups in terms of both variables. In other word, there were significant different in control and experimental group in anxiety and stress variable. The findings of this study indicate that training coping skills with negative mood, reduces anxiety and stress in students.
